Top Dawg, Top Guy, Top Gal

The Top Dawg, Top Guy and Top Gal programs is an incentive program to reward the teams/players for achieving the top places within their competitive brackets.  These programs runs throughout the league year, beginning in the Summer session and ending in the Spring session. There will be separate Top Dawg, Top Guy and Top Gal awards for 8 and 9 ball formats.  

The Top Dawg award goes to the team that scores the highest cumulative points across all three sessions in the league year.   Team points for the current session can be viewed on Division page in the APA app.  In the case of a tie, the tiebreaker will be decided by the better record, measured in the sum of  points per place across all three sessions.  Example: a team that placed 1st, 1st, 4th (6 points) will place lower than a team that placed 2nd, 2nd, 1st (4 points).

The Top Guy and Top Gal award goes to the individual with the highest average Points Attained % (PA%) across all three sessions in the league year, taking the sum of each player's PA% across all three sessions and dividing by three.  The PA% for the current session can be viewed on the MVP page in the APA app. In the case of a tie, the tiebreaker will be decided by better average of Points Per Match (PPM), across all three sessions of the league year.  The PPM for the current session can be viewed on the MVP page.

Rewards

Both Top Dawg teams in both 8 and 9 ball formats will receive a team plaque, $1000 travel assistance and paid registrations for a 3-Person Team and 2 Singles entries, to the APA Northwest Challenge at Lincoln City.  The 8 ball tournament is held in April, while the 9 ball tournament in November.  The winning team must maintain 4 of its original members, and be active in ESAPA at the time of the trip reward.

The Top Guy and Top Gal winners in both 8 and 9 ball formats, will each receive a winners plaque, $250 travel assistance and paid Singles registration to the APA Northwest Challenge at Lincoln City.  The 8 ball tournament is held in April, while the 9 ball tournament in November.  The winners must be active in ESAPA, at the time of the trip reward.

Winners will be announced in May, following the end of the league year.  Plaques will be delivered by the end of June and travel assistance provided before the tournament in November and the following April.
